Standard & Poor’s affirms LES’ ‘AA’ rating
Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services (S&P) has affirmed its ‘AA’ long-term
rating on LES’ revenue bonds and its ‘A-1+’ rating on LES’ commercial paper
program. S&P’s outlook on the long-term rating is stable.
S&P said the ‘AA’ rating reflects several
strengths:
-
A diverse and low-cost generation portfolio;
-
An economically strong and stable service
area that state government and the University of Nebraska anchor; and
-
Competitive rates, despite recent rate
increases.
