The Lincoln Electric System Administrative Board held its
regular monthly meeting June 18 at the Lincoln Electric Building. Items from
the meeting, as well as other pertinent information, include the following:
Kevin Wailes to begin CEO duties June 30
Kevin Wailes will begin his duties as administrator & CEO of LES on June 30,
it was announced at today’s (6/18) meeting of the Administrative Board.
Doug Curry, who has served in that position since May of last year, was
praised for his leadership since taking the helm of LES and thanked for his
substantial accomplishments.
Kathy Campbell resigns from Board
Kathy Campbell, a six and one-half year member of the LES Administrative
Board, resigned, it was announced Friday (6/18).
The Board passed a resolution expressing appreciation for her many
contributions and involvement for the betterment of LES and the community.
During her time on the Board, she was secretary in 2006 and vice chair in 2007
and 2008. Campbell served on six of the Board’s eight committees. She was twice
appointed to the Board by Mayor Coleen Seng in 2004 and 2007 and by Mayor
Chris Beutler this year.
She was elected in 2008 as state senator for District 25.
