We understand unplanned hardships can make it challenging to pay your electric bill. We have several options and services to help.
Payment arrangements
If there’s a chance you may get behind on your energy bill, we want to help before the circumstances become critical. Because every situation is different, please contact an LES Customer Service representative to talk through your options at 402.475.4211. You can also log into the LES online system to see if you are eligible for a payment arrangement in the Billing > Payment Extension and the Billing > Installment Plan sections.
Payment help
There are several options for help in paying your bill, including the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties, United Way 2-1-1 and MyLNK app.
Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services offers a variety of assistance programs. Call 402.323.3900. Visit the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services website for more details.
Community Action Partnership of Lancaster and Saunders Counties assists if you have received an electric bill disconnect notice. You must apply for assistance.

- The following are needed for all applications for assistance:
- Bill must be in the name of the person applying.
- Bill must be for current address.
- Income.
- Household expenses.
- Demographic information for all members of household (name, date of birth, Social Security number, etc.).
United Way 2-1-1 connects you with community resources for payment assistance. It is free, confidential and available 24/7. Call 211 (no area code needed). If you are outside the service area or using certain cell phones, you may need to call 1.866.813.1731. Visit the United Way 2-1-1 website for more details.
MyLNK app provides a free, one-stop guide of participating cities' resources for people in need. Download the app for both Android and Apple phones.
Third-party notification
