LES renewable energy certificates

Under LES’ Renewable Energy Certificate rider, customers can purchase RECs to cover their monthly electricity usage. These RECs will be retired by LES on the program participant’s behalf at the end of each year. If a participant already generates some of their own renewable energy under LES’ net metering or virtual net metering programs, this program allows them to cover energy consumption that exceeds their renewable production.

Submission of this form indicates you understand and accept that by enrolling for LES’ Renewable Energy Certificate Rider, you are subject to a one-time enrollment fee of $10 and agree to purchase an REC portion for each kilowatt-hour of energy billed monthly to your LES account. These RECs will be retired by LES on your behalf at the end of each year you are enrolled. NOTE: If you produce your own renewable energy through LES’ net metering or virtual net metering programs, only your energy consumption that exceeds your renewable energy production will be included.
