LINCOLN — Lincoln’s largest electric vehicle ride and drive event, presented by Lincoln Electric System, will be held in Lincoln this Sunday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Haymarket Park, 403 Line Drive Circle. Attendees will be able to test drive at least one EV, including makes from BMW, Cadillac, Chevy, Ford, GMC, Nissan, Rivian, Tesla, Toyota and Volkswagen.
“The number of models available is increasing significantly, particularly in the pickup, crossover and sports utility vehicle styles that comprise nearly 75% of all vehicles on the road,” said Marc Shkolnick, manager of Energy Services at LES. “Public power utilities like LES are here to keep our customers engaged and informed, so this event provides the chance to see these vehicles up close, talk to local owners and take a test drive.”
Attendees can experience EVs through test drives, learn about electric vehicles from community EV experts and enjoy food trucks. Presentations include the basics of charging and ownership, as well as a panel with EV dealers and owners.
To reserve a test drive, visit LES.com/Drive. Time slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Spots may be available for same-day walk-ups but are not guaranteed. The event is free and parking is available.
